1. Sagaai (Engagement)
This is the official announcement of the wedding, where families exchange sweets, gifts, and the bride and groom exchange rings.
2. Haldi and Mayra Ceremony
Haldi paste is applied to the bride and groom for a natural glow. The Mayra ritual involves maternal uncles presenting gifts and outfits to the families.
3. Baraat & Dwar Puja
The groom arrives with a lively procession. Upon arrival, the bride's mother welcomes the groom with a traditional Dwar Puja and aarti.
4. Kanyadaan and Phere
The bride's parents perform Kanyadaan, giving their daughter's hand to the groom. This is followed by the holy seven rounds (Saptapadi) around the sacred fire.
